A complete approach

CareBlue delivers its service capabilities through a seamless approach of six processes guaranteed to improve cash flow, increase profits and decrease costs:

1. Integrate

CareBlue integrates with your practice management system to automatically manage patient accounts. As an example, information entered into the practice's scheduling tool is automatically added the night before.

2. Identify

An immediate assessment of patient portion responsibility occurs for each procedure. This information is conveyed to the patient at the time of service, as well as any outstanding statements or identified changes in address.

3. Advance

Receive 80% of your practice's patient billing every week, independent of the actual collection rate. CareBlue guarantees to capture at least 80% of what you bill patients, and remits anything over this amount. CareBlue also advances cash to your patients to pay their medical bill. These advancement tools transform your business in every way.

4. Process

CareBlue manages the payments from all revenue associated with patient self-pay bills, at the time of service and after. Patients send payment directly to a processing center, so back office practice overhead is drastically reduced.

5. Support

Medical bills are complicated to most patients. CareBlue is your patient's contact to understand their bill, how it reconciles with their EOB, and ultimately how they can make a payment. This reduces the time your staff spends answering questions.

6. Report

Integration of patient data with your practice management system eliminates duplication and ensures transparent fiscal accountability. Detailed weekly reporting through CareBlue's portal offers maximum account management flexibility.

CareBlue fits seamlessly into your existing system reducing staff time and increasing practice cash flow.
A Shifting Market
Difficult Financial Realities
More and more, doctors are realizing that effectively billing and capturing patient payments can be the difference between a successful practice and a struggling one.

A Growing Trend
As deductibles and other patient financial responsibilities grow, it is becoming vital for healthcare practices to effectively capture this money due from patients.

A Focus on Billing Third Party Payors Alone Isn't Enough Anymore
Historically, in order to sustain a strong practice, the practice outsourced insurance billing to experts with the knowledge and systems capable of accurately and quickly submitting claims and receiving cash flow. But practices traditionally have not systematically focused on the previously small annual amount due directly from their patients.

In today's market, a typical doctor's practice must still focus on collecting from insurance companies. But a practice can no longer just hope that the patient portion of a medical bill will sort itself out. The amount of money is just too large... and because the explosive growth in the market looks to continue, solving this need has become a top priority.
